Thank you all! I have a pretty intense fear of people noticing my appearance and of being the centre of attention, so I'm pretty chuffed that it all turned out OK.
Also, it's nice now to drop back to my normal grooming routine. I probably won't ever put that much effort in again. But that's not to say I didn't learn some useful tricks.
